You could consider putting another flush mount rod holder in then building a pvc rod holder that can hold rods for transport and trolling.

Isao

That’s a really clever idea. Do you have any designs for reference? I’m sure I can scavenge some up online if not.

Nice, that seems easy enough. Guess the project continues. Maybe I’ll stick the tracks on the Yak I’m grabbing from you today Penguin

Got the materials and for the pipe rack, and dropped another flush mount rod holder in the yak.

Lessons learned tonight:

Abs pipe is easy to cut, and I have more than enough to not be worried about running out.

Abs pipe + heat gun = no bueno in a small garage with the door closed. Jokingly told my gf I was gonna do “tweaker shit” in the garage. Accidentally actually did tweaker shit not realizing the pipes were smoking and I’d forgotten to open the garage door for ventilation.

Got it all roughed out. Gotta try to flare out the rod holder sections (with the garage door open this time) and glue it all together.

Looks pretty good.

Have you tried out a paddling motion with rods in the holders, wondering if those side ones would get in the way?

Nice. I is specially like the longhorn look in the rear. Are you from Texas?
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Sweet looking Todash, like Tez said sit in the kayak and see what gets in the way. check how easy/hard it is to pull the rods out the back while sitting see if they're too tall.  flare those tubes, it's worth it. a wine bottle works really well if you got one.

I sat in it and gave it a few strokes, but haven’t been able to take her out yet and really see how the trolling holders play out. I was hoping to today but ran out of time. Hoping this week I can get her out.

Nowhere man- Nah, SC born and raised. I just tried my best to copy the video linked a few posts up and it came out like that.

Trying to figure out if I want to mount the FF transducer in the front or rear. Rear seems easier to rig the wiring, but front seems like it would be better for trolling. Also I got duct seal and am deciding between water bath or traditional.

Anyone have advice?
