Hi everyone,
My name is Yuriy.  I'm a lifelong angler and have been fishing primarily in the bay for the past 10 years or so.  I've watched the boats around oyster point for years and have been dreaming of launching a kayak out there for the halibut.
Just recently, I was gifted a paddle kayak and have been reading up and gearing up.
I have had the kayak fever before and have already been lurking this site for years, awesome info on here and great people!
I fish the shorelines used to fish the shorelines and have witnessed the NCKA crowd of kayaks show up around April in my local waters and was always jealous of you guys.  Now I'm very excited to join the fleet.

I have only been out twice so far, about an hour each time, only caught a jacksmelt on a troll.  Still getting used to fishing and kayaking at the same time, but very much hooked already.  :smt007

Hope to see some of you out there.  I'm on a prolonged vacation :)

Q: Why are fish smarter than mice?
A: Because they swim in schools, duh.

Welcome to NCKA Yuriy,  yes kayak fishing is a blast.  Tight lines and think safety first.
