Muir, 7/21 ling with bite marks...

I got on the water at 9, thinking troll for salmon and jig my way back for rocks, but that damn wind...
as soon as you pass the point, its a battle against staying stable, let alone fish, so I stayed south of the point, actualy there's a big area thats super smooth, a time-out spot that works great in between halibut/ rockfish drifts across the bay. On the third drift across, by the rock, I get two rockfish, fight hard but knew they were small but taco-worthy, then SLAM, making two runs, Thought it got into a hole for a second, then up he came, gaff, game clip and a whaling. Saw the marks, but didnt think about it till I came in. Im no expert at wound IDing, so lets hear it...

Then I said wtf???

He went just under 30.

This is the bigger of two marks.

The other, there's a scrape that runs parallel also.

I think the marks are from an eightyfive pound king.
