Recs on paddling shoes/boots?

What kind of paddling shoes/boots do you guys recommend to go with a wetsuit?

The soles on mine are starting to wear and looking for a new pair. Hoping for one to be 2-3mm thick with a good soles to walk on rocks/pebbles.

There's allot to choose from, many still have pretty flexible soles tho, so I stuck a pair of super feet insoles in my last pair, worked great, but expensive, if I did it again I'd look for a similar cheaper hard sole insert.

I usually use old tennis shoes with some wool socks.  Works on all but coldest days in ocean.

I'm now on my 3rd pair. Its basically a hiking boot with a wetsuit upper. I paired them with a 1.5mm hydroskin sock and they worked great. They are a tad squeezy on my feet, so I wear a size 11 (usually a 10.5 hiking boot). For long marine terrace portages or rocky notches like down in Big Sur they are my favorite.

I got these recently and really like them. Very comfortable and really good for walking on sharp rocks. Prior the these I had a few pairs with thinner soles that were not so good for going over rocks.

I second JP52.  Been using them for the past year, and they work well.

Will for sure check out the NRS shoes. Do those SEAC boots get hot at 6mm?

No, they don't get too hot for me. They are super stretchy so they don't feel that thick. You can always dip your feet in the water if they get too warm.

I haven't really noticed them to be hot since they usually are still wet from launching. 

NRS, just be sure there’s a good sole if you anticipate rocks (DAMHIK) surf boots are what I use but rarely on the rocks and damn they can hurt, I try to remember to rig, place at water, then get suited and booted... when there’s rocks... key word “try”
