Where do you put in at on Shasta? Crazy to pay $15 fee to launch. Oh well. Hoping to get up there this weekend.

You can put in at Jones Valley, i think they call it pollution point. right after you turn to go to the boat launch you can't miss it on the left hand side. Some also go across the dam but launching there is iffy at best, you need to carry your yak over some rocks.
Lake head is another area, go past the town and camping area there is a turn off for lake access.

Thanks Jeff. Probably will just pay and launch at Hirz bay. Used to fish there years ago. It is upsetting the Federal govt is letting private companies make money using public properties.
