John, the co-owner said, a couple of years ago, that his brother wanted to convert the property to growing almonds. He did not want to sell the property. It took a while before the property was put up for sale because of a difference of opinion of what the property was worth. The first offer was from a group that wanted to turn the property into a Burningman destination...the deal fell through. Great place to stage H.O.W. events. Will miss the place.

I ran through all of the other properties on that website. Some very cool stuff there if one wanted to escape the city.

That might get us the down payment.

For the balance, we'd all have to sell our kayaks and fishing gear, and you know that isn't going to happen.

Here in Texas we have a "Kelsey-like" lake we get to use and will be around for generations to come. It is about a 60 acre lake and is about an hour and a half east of Dallas

Has a lot of bass like this in it. So fat this year over 20 7 pounders have been caught and 4 of these
