Hey all,

Currently paddling a tandem WS tarpon 135t. It feels decent and works in the ocean at 13 feet in length.

I see a 2014 hobie revolution 11 with the old style seat online. Will it be fine in the ocean? Obviously not for the rough days, but has anyone on here paddled a revolution 11 in the ocean?

Would prefer a 13 or outback, but it looks to be a decent deal used.

Thanks
MT

It depends on your size more than the kayak's length.  I've used a OK Trident 11 in some sporty conditions without feeling overwhelmed.  If you and your gear are well within the load capacity of a Revo 11, and you know what you're doing (no insult intended), it should work.

I used to have a 2013 Revo 11. Fished out of Trinidad all the time. The Revo 11 is a very capable and worthy platform. To be honest I'd like to find the guy I sold it to on here and buy it back

I have a Revo 13 that I might be interested in trading for a Revo 11. I'd like something a little easier to car top by myself than a 13.

check the weight,i believe the 11 is only 10lbs lighter
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I believe the main difference is speed, not stability. The 11 will be a little slower, less momentum, but at the same width, equally capable as the 13.

Decided to wait it out and keep an eye out for the revo 13 or outback. There is a very clean revo 11 on CL posted yesterday.
