Ladies & Gentlemen,

I just wanted to introduce myself.   My name is Ken (“K” in JAK’s) I am in my 40s and just now started to like going fishing. My younger brother and my brother in-law had been teaching me all the  Ins-outs of fishing. Lots of things to remember but I like to keep it simple.

I bought a paddle kayaks for my children over the 2019 holiday season. I took my kids kayaking in Suisun and kayak/fish @ Lake Berryessa.

This is when I discovered that I really fishing.  Fishing in the kayak also made the experience more adventurous since I could go to different  spots on the lake or Delta in the kayak.

I am now in the market for a pedal kayak. After this COVID-19 virus passes, I will have a better timeline of when I am able to buy they pedal kayak.

I research kayak fishing related websites, YouTube, etc, and I found this website. I also follow several Kayak Anglers on Youtube and they too mentioned this website.

Hopefully I will see some kayak Anglers that are members here so that I could introduce myself personally.

Thank You in advance for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

Take Care of Yourself and Your Family.

Welcome!

You can't go wrong with a Hobie kayak, if you can afford it.

Welcome Ken.  Most shops have demo programs so that you can try out the different brands.  Good luck.

Hey Ken
Welcome aboard,
Like NowhereMan said , get a hobie if u can.
I’ve had paddle  yaks and now an 19 Outback and wonder why I didn’t buy a Hobie sooner?(price)
Do you want to paddle or fish? Much more time  to fish when when ur legs  are making u move!
Stay safe!

Thanks Guys for the warm welcome.

Trying to save enough $ during this COVID-19 pandemic (benefit of being a frontline worker). Hopefully I’ll be able to do just that and get some needed days off when this pandemic is under control.

I saw the HOBIE PA 360 at City Kayak in Citrus Heights before they officially close their doors to follow the SIP Order. Hobie’s new 360 is definitely nice (with a hefty price tag).

I’m 80% sure that I will be getting a Hobie. I am not sure if it’s going to be the 360 Drive though (all based on price, and what I can afford).

For those who have Youtube Channels, please let me know I’ll definitely subscribe and checkout you guys’ experiences Kayak Fishing.

Nice to see I’m not the only one in here from Fairfield.  Very new to fishing and kayaks. But all that matters is that I’m here.  After this SIP is done, let me know if you are heading out and don’t mind being followed by a newbie 🤫
