I went to China Camp yesterday with Eddie and Drew for some Sturgeon fishing. Water temp was warmish (54-56) but the outside temp was cold and rainy! We fished for about 3-4 hours for a couple drag peeling bat-rays. It wasnt the target species we were after but it sure beat staying cooped up inside! Thanks for watching!

Work is for people who don't know how to fish

Come on now!  Crow and stingray are part of the future gourmet forage... curry marinate broiled...small one...20 inch wingspan...well bled and filleted super skinless then saltwater bath, changed out until clear, meat stays pink until it hits the cast iron and turns fishy white, prolly less mercury than leopard shark...tastes like chicken?...wouldn't choose stingray but also have smoked it and it was a success...they call it poor man's brisket in virginia... :smt006
Ohhhh...you got me!  Deal...no bats no matter how you cook it... :smt009

Was that on the outgoing tide?
I would have thought to much fresh water in the system for bat rays
