Short report. The northbay/wine county lakes are getting real good. Temps are hitting 60 and higher and the clarity is good. Bass, crappie, and catfish are all on the chew. Lots of biting fish from the bank out to 15ish feet. I haven’t been fishing deeper because they are so easy to catch shallow.

Jigs and swimbaits have been good. I’ve been trying to throw bigger swimbaits this year and it’s been fun having bass crush them. Haven’t gotten too much action on cranks or jerkbaits, but I haven’t really been using them.

Sam was even able to get some time away and come fishing with me! Pics to follow.

Nice work, John!  Should be good this week, but the weather this weekend may slow things a bit.  I'm probably going to hit one of the wine country options on Friday....   :smt003

Thanks John. I might have to give it a go if I don't go to the River. The Russian has been very good to me lately. :smt004
