I was on the water just before 7:00 this morning, trolled a frozen anchovy for 4 hours, No bites. Talked to a couple of boaters, they didn't get a bite either. Water looked good, little choppy early morning, calmed down by mid-morning. I did not see another kayaker, strange being the only yakker on the water.

Updated launch is nice !!! love the clean bathrooms with toilets that flush. looks like the bathrooms are locked up at night, opened back up at 7:00am. Warning !! the lower part of the ramp near the waters edge is super slippery, I'm sure there must of been people that have already fallen.

Thank you for the report... I work close by; with the days getting longer I may need to cartop my kayak to work someday :smt003.
Also, very true about the facilities there!

No worries false hope is better than no hope :smt002

Does all this halibut talk mean you've put sturgeon behind you for the year?

Launched at Ferry point and trolled for 3.5 hours this morning. Started with herring and no action. Switched to anchovies and got bit but it didnt stick. Picked up a nice 27”er around 10:00 and quit a little while later as the wind was building.

I'm definitely going out this Saturday. I'd like to launch from Paradise, but it sounds like Eddie hasn't had any luck... Eddie feel free to chime in if I'm not right. I'd consider launching from ARW since it seems like you picked up some action there.  I would love to pick up a halibut. I'll try to see if I can jig up some live bait. Maybe that'll produce.

Try Ferry Point in Point Richmond.  Its closer that ARW for you and the launch is easy.  Just watch for boaters and tankers in the channel if you go across it.

You think Ferry Point is better than Tiburon?

For now, yes.  A few shakers in the north bay, OP seems to have dead a bit.  Recent reports suggest the fish are on the East Bay or in SPB above Richmond Bridge.

I don't fish ARW as of yet...been workin' San Quentin and Paradise, no catching...Adam's score today calls me to Ferry Point on the next drift...watch that wind and tide, ferry point will take you for a ride...no fear...just know your limits or discover them... :smt006

You want a sturgeon?  This is still prime sturgeon season, I'll sit for another if you want...I know a few that could use that train ride... :smt006
