Ok first off I just want to say I am done posting exact spots where I am catching these fish and posting my honey holes. No offense to you guys, I am sure it's all the non-member lurkers around here. I hope I don't come off as an a-hole, but after I post my photos and my location, I'll go the next day to find about a dozen boats around my spots. But I will answer any pms and give all you guys any help you need! I will still post pictures and general area.....So on to my day!

Arrived to a slight breezy water, I was expecting big waves and white caps. Started off throwing senkos for a few hits but nothing stuck. So I decided to throw my jerkbait to see if I can entice anything to bite. I stuck 12 small fish and on my last cast I hooked into a big fish. I was using a medium action pole with 8lb mono, very afraid to lose it!. I fought this baby for a while, she headed to deep water immediately, so I knew it was a big fish. She took one big leap, and my heart started racing as soon as I saw her. By the time I got her to the kayak I was out in the middle of the waterway. She measured out at 23 inches and 5lb 3oz according the picture of the scale but when I had her on the scale for a minute she was reading 5lb 10-12 oz, so somewhere around there. But definitely my biggest bass! She was fairly thin, not too big of a gut though, definitely could have weighed more on that frame. But an awesome day for me! Here are pics and a releasing video.
