A while back, I learned about the Quick Release Anchor System in this awesome write up by Tote (http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=16289.0). With the knowledge that I gained from Tote, I came up with a no drill QRAS so that I don't have to install a permanent QRSA and I can freely move the QRSA to different kayaks. This system has served me well for over 2 years. I hope this can be helpful for someone.

I saw your system on one of your other videos and I decided to use it on my new kayak rather than install an anchor trolley. It really works great! Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
Thanks

The advantage of deploying an anchor system from an anchor trolley, rather than from a point on the side of your kayak which you can reach from your seat as in MooMoo Outdoors' system, is that an anchor trolley can get your attachment point closer to the bow or the stern of your kayak, so the bow or stern of your kayak will point more directly into the wind, waves, and/or current.  With MooMoo Outdoors' system, the current, waves, and/or wind will be hitting the side of the kayak at an angle.

A couple of minor points:

1. MooMoo ties off his anchor line to one of the little hooks on the side of his extension cord carrier, which are thin and fragile. I'd tie off the anchor line to a stronger point on the frame of the extension cord carrier.

2.  MooMoo has set up his crab pot buoy so the current hits the blunt end of the buoy.  I'd switch the buoy around so the current hits the pointed end of the buoy.

Here's a picture of my current quick release anchor system.  There's a long thread of posts on quick release anchor systems at https://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=15510.msg168110#msg168110.  I explain how to install the chain on the anchor to help you release the anchor if it gets snagged at http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=91008.msg1028627#msg1028627.

:smt044 Great info thx for the links... I purchased a hobie anchor trolley system awhile back and as yet to install it... all instructions suggest that it’s for an outback where as I have a revo 13 was going to send it back but the Fers wouldn’t let me return it......... maybe that’s a sign to install 😂 :smt044

Thanks...

How are you attaching the anchor to the trolley for quick release?
