...yeah the concern is venomous spines or something right?  When i first saw it, bullhead(staghorn sculpin?) looking came to mind.  Whatever the case, it was sorta gnarly looking and i was hesitant to even touch it.

Those things glow in the dark, really good sevengill shark bait...

Went fishing out of Newport Beach last year and caught some sculpins. Only the deckhands were able to handle those per boat rules.

Those weren’t sculpins. They were sculpins. Sculpins aren’t sculpins.

And I’m not making that up. What are called “sculpin” in SoCal are California scorpionfish, which are not sculpins at all.

Those fish are terrifying.

I had one attack me once.

Yeah....bad habit I guess? Prolly lucky this big Angel Shark didn’t behave the same way as the NightMareFish...
