Yes .

However , open and closures on Mussels may occur outside those dates.

The number  posted on the sign  can be called for current updates that may be in effect for a particular area .

It also provides updates on clams etc. and  closures on Dungies and  RockIes

Safety first right .

I was just sharing the info because it could change. I harvest twice last month and twice this month and each time I called the number to make sure it was still safe to eat.

You all go get some and for you who never picked mussels it’s 10lbs. Per lice holders , no tools can be used only hands and make sure you got a good wt. scale or you could get pop foot over limit. Now go get some! And post up the awesome foody pics n eats!

Oh the sighn I shared is for San Mateo coast !
I found this huge cluster on the beach must of weigh over 50lbs. Wired!  I took some samples👍

Just checked.  There are no warnings for mussels.  Also the mussels are not collected in the harbor, I get them outside the harbor on the beach facing mavericks.

Before this year. This was the last time we picked mussels was with these boys after crabbing in November 2014! So, 6 years past before picking the shellfish...
