RPT Lk Sonoma 2/15

I got out for a few hours in the afternoon. It was a bit windy (ok a lot windy) with the wind pushing down the lake there were waves breaking on the dam!

Water temp was 54-56 and 10+ foot vis. Water has come up a bit but not much. There was a bunch of floating algae balls which made trolling difficult since you had to constantly check your lure.

Fishing was pretty slow for trout. I released 3, the biggest being around 15”. I also got into the bass and caught a good mix of lmb and smb. Nothing big though. Got them on the A-rig, jigs, and swimbaits. They were 13-15” class fish.

The trout looked skinny and maybe spawned out? I’m hoping that’s the case and that they start coming back down the lake after spawning.
