Hi all,

I was referred to your website from Billy at Wind Toys here in Santa Rosa due to my interest in inshore/offshore fishing. I’ve done fishing from kayak on a friends boat and found it more productive than charter boat.

I just purchased a Hobie Mirage Outback 2020 in January 2020 and taking it to Spring Lake here in Santa Rosa to get accustomed to it and figure out how I want to set up my boat.

Any advice is welcomed. I have invested in a VHF radio, Farmer Johns, neoprene boots, etc. will be taking the free open deck self rescue clinic held by Monterey Bay Kayaks on March 7, 2020.

Thank you all for your welcoming. :smt006 Do you guys recommend in addition to a VHF radio a Personal Locator Beacon? If so, any recommendations?

Welcome Elvin. A good bilge pump wouldn't be a bad idea if you don't already have one
