Looking for a recommendation on a budget friendly wetsuit with front/relief zipper. What do you all recommend?

Stohlquist suits are good too.  I have NRS 3mm and Stohlquist 3mm farmer johns and they are both great. I would get whichever one you can find the best deal on. They sell NRS at REI so if you are a member you get some money back at the end of the year.

I like my NRS 3mm, but after 30-40 trips in my hobie peddal yak, the seams in both knees are coming apart.  Currently trying to patch.  Crummy amazon neoprene that I glued into place split on my first trip out.

Check with Headwaters Adventure up in Redding. They carry both NRS and Stohlquist.

I started with the NRS farmer john in 2005. It's a good product. Held up great for many years.

REI has them for 149.95. Watch for the REI sales for a better deal.

worth every penny

I second that...make sure you get a size larger than what you normally wear as they run tight.

I recommend trying them on before buying if at all possible. I had the stohlquist for a few years, but i beat it up pretty good and wore a couple holes in it.
Switched to NRS last year, and have to say I prefer it to my old stohlquist for a couple reasons. 1st the NRS has no seams on the top where your arms protrude. At first I thought it looked kinda cheap, and didn't think much of it, but after putting some time OTW I think its much more comfortable.
2nd I prefer the the gusseted crotch on the NRS, just a superior design IMO
