One of my business associates who likes to fish graciously paid for a six-pack combo charter he put together. It was scheduled for last Sunday but I could not attend because of a church fund raiser. :smt009 :smt010 He called me Friday to say he had rescheduled for the Sunday after the AOTD. :smt003 :smt005 I was planning on going to the AOTD tourney on Saturday so that was making it a busy weekend. Then I remembered we had a memorial function Saturday afternoon.
Well I decided to fish with Sean who also had to bug out early Sat. Go to the memorial then PB fish on Sun. Two days of getting up at 4am and staying up till 11pm. I am feeling my age. Here's a couple pics sorry I didn't take more but I was busy fishing.
If you want to scope out the Sonoma coast on a nice riding Catboat check out the Miss Anita in Bodega Bay. The Captain Vince Orsini is very knowledgeable and hard worker. The conditions yesterday were less than ideal on the outside and Salmon catches were few. But Vince pulled it out of the hat when given 15 minutes before calling it a day. We had near limits of rockies with 4 lings and 36 reds, then topped it off with 5 sluggo salmon 25-30lbs, and 3 smaller keepers.

Wow, way to fill the ol' man freezer!  I'm just hoping you've used up all your rockfish mojo for the year and won't be bringing any to Elk (25" rocky and a 40" ling).  Unless of course you want to start selling those special "Shim-baits" of yours...:)

Nice pics and report.

Mark,
Jeez, I go camping with the in-laws and have to come back to look at all these pictures.  I'm jealous.  You deserve it after all that work on the new jigs. "Shimbaits," I love it.

Well Done.  I was out Salmon fishing Sat and Sun also.  I was off Salmon Creek on Sat and put in a 36.5 lb gutted and gilled and then we went south off 10 mile for a handfull of 20 lber's with the best at 27.  There are some serious salmon around right now.  We need to hook up soon.

You are one fishy guy Shimmy.
I was on a party boat with CHUB ( then 7 ) and Vince was the deckhand. He kicked A$$!!!
Hardest working and most knowledgeable I have seen. We ended up with 57 salmon and 8 halibut that day and didn't hook the first fish until 1:30 pm.
I saw 6 fish on at one time and he handled them all.
The coolest thing I have seen to date on a party boat was when one of the guys hooked into something BIG. It was peeling line out like crazy. Almost spooled when Vince went below deck for a second and came up with a life jacket. He started tying the life jacket to the rod and was going to throw the rod overboard before it got spooled. Just as he was getting ready to tell the guy to toss it the fish turned and started heading back.
Turned out to be a 48'' halibut and the big fish for the day. Beat my 30 lb salmon.

Vince is the fishy guy! He is also very funny, I guess it comes with the job. He worked hard that day, we were on the water 11 hours.
Funny how fast Salmon goes away when its all cleaned and bagged. :smt012 Oh well, I guess that means I have to go again. :smt003
