Kayak Breaks In Half During Run Down Avalanche Falls

Crazy! Just heading down stream when the back half of the kayak flies off!

That's wild. It looks like it took the pilot a while to figure out what happened.

And the other bad news??

I saw this happen to a guy at Manresa during a kayak surf competition in maybe 2001.
He was in a carbon fiber surf kayak and went over the falls and the boat was just obliterated around him.
He walked back to the parking lot with the two halves and his legs all scratched up from the broken edges.
He just took his backup yak off his truck and went back out. It was wild.

I didn't have the sound on... Did he say he had a bean burrito for lunch?
