Hi there. As weather allows, I'm still looking for someone to do some lake kayaking and fishing near Auburn. I'm a newby. Anyone?

I’m nowhere near Auburn, but if you ever end up over in the north Bay Area (Napa, Sonoma, mendo or lake counties) I’ll go with ya.

I think a lot of people are waiting for warmer weather.

Hi Buttercup.  I'm in the Sacramento area and will be happy to show you around.  Send me a pm and we can schedule something soon.  I'm not sure my wife will be thrilled if I tell her i'm fishing with Buttercup though.  :smt001
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I'm looking to hit amador/pardee/camanche and possibly bullards bar sometime for some trout. Some weekend near the end of February or March. If schedules align I might see you out there.

Many fishermen spend their lives chasing fish, only to realize that it was themselves that they were chasing.

The "Salty" in my handle refers to my attitude, not the waters I fish

I'm 1/2 an hour from Auburn up by Georgetown. I've fished most of the lakes around the area at least once.  I've gone down to the delta a couple of times and been up to Loon lake once.  I've gone to Folsom and Rollins the most.  Also gone as far south as New Hogan.  I fish mostly for bass but rigged my kayak for trolling a pair of rods at the end of last summer, but haven't tried it yet.

I've been injured and/or sick for almost two months and am still not recovered yet.  Hopefully I'll be cured and strong enough to get the kayak out in 2-4 weeks.  Should be in time for the March/April storms and flooding.

Doing a bit of recuperation myself right now, but as I can, I'll try to connect with you. Thank you!

I’m down. Clementine should turn on soon if the weather stays warm.

I've recover enough to get a yak and line in the water.  Went out yesterday and it was mostly paddling, didn't catch anything.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan
