Looking for a new one stop weather app.  I’ve been using Weather Underground for years but the latest update has rendered it complete dogshit.

Is there an app out there that is easy to use, has a dashboard like feature with satellite maps, precipitation forecast, links to local NWS/NOAA products, and allows you to move easily between official and personal weather stations in the same general area?

I’m looking for something similar to WU circa last Thursday. Willing to pay for the app or a subscription, doesn’t have to be free.

Thanks!

You asked!  None of them are accurate.

Tell me what you dislike about windy.com.  I’ve favorited all my spots from Albion to Carmel, and SfBay, swell and wind plus visual are good for my interpretations.  Top bookmark for me.   :smt006

I’m not looking for an in depth ocean condition app. I use windy, MSW, windfinder and stormsurf for that. I want to know if it’s going to rain at my kids practice or if there’s likely to be rain or frost and the like. The thing is, I’d like to have it all in one place instead of having to go to weather.com/WU, NWS, NOAA, and windy.  But yeah, windy is pretty good.  A dashboard view would be really nice.

I really like Windy. But here at the shop we use a combo of windy and the NOAA forecast. Sometimes we also use the lightning maps

Weather Underground's app is pretty nice, honestly I am looking for something similar, I feel like snow condition apps are more plentiful than rain forcast.

For everyday weather predictions, I like Weather Underground's ten-day weather prediction because it has a very easy-to-understand ten-day graphic display.  For everyday weather predictions for areas away from any town and which thus aren't covered by Weather Underground, I use the National Weather Service predictions, because you can click on any spot on a map and get a prediction.  For wind and other weather predictions for use when kayak angling, I use Windfinder a lot.

Windy, then I couple it with magicseaweed and swellinfo.  But windy is definitely my go to 👍. Like Eddie... I’ve got my favorite spots saved and get notifications throughout the fishing season.  :smt003

Have you used weather underground since the update?

WillyWeather? Not sure if it has everything you’re looking for but it works well for me for checking conditions.
I don't like stuff that sucks.

That actually looks pretty good. Does it go out more than 5 days if you sign up for an account?

I like how it incorporates swell and tide info.  It’s super easy to navigate. NOAA alert came up while I was using it for high surf.  Nice.  Plots forecast and observed conditions on the same graph.  Another plus.

Thanks!
