My name is Rob.

Thanks for admitting me to the board.

I live in Hollister and just got my first yak. Nothing too extravagant but it will work. I’ll be adding another to the fleet soon for my sons. The older one (15) is more interested that the other (12) but I’m still going to be sure we all have one for lakes and Monterey Bay. We have rented out of Monterey before and also done some bass fishing on borrowed kayaks.

Welcome Rob,

Don't forget the Safety board, there's a lot of great information in there, my favorite section.

Hey CT,
Your story sounds similar to mine. I'm about to acquire my second paddle yak this weekend for my son. Have you ever fished the Forebay?  I would like to tag along with someone that knows the area in the future.
