Hi guys,

Anyone have experience with these? Found them on sale @ $4 for a pack of 5...it's cheaper than the Gama Kahle hooks for $5 for 4 hooks! They are tied on 80lb dacron.

https://bradskillerfishinggear.com/hand-tied-leaders/

Picked up a few packs to try out....I don't recognize the hook style, seems in-between a kahle and circle hook...

Hi Eddie,

I'll be heading out of Alviso, with my portabote and kids. Got my ghost and grass shrimp at the ready, we'll see if the sturgies cooperate!

I’ve used them before at Jurassic Park.  Caught sturgeon, released sturgeon, everything held up well, no complaints from me.

WEll, I don't know where Jurassic Park might be(there's a few), but open ocean is probly not a great place for a boat that folds up.  Sometimes the Bay is even worse.

Rescue occurred on Wednesday

Not a hater, a lover.  Love to see people stay safe and not do stupid stuff.

Portabotes aren’t so bad. I’ve taken mine in rough seas with 3 people onboard no problem. But I always use good judgement when I do so (staying close, drysuit, radio, the works). The guy rescued used poor judgement by going to the danger zone area in the first place.

I officially support good judgement!
Thanks Herb

Hi guys,

Ended up doing a bunch of honey-do's, so did not get around to fishing. Appreciate everyone's concerns, safety is always the foremost priority, especially if my kids are involved.

I'll post when I have something to report.
