Mossdale landing

Hello! Wondering if any body hits up Mossdale landing area in Manteca/Lathrop?

I live close by and have been considering going out and fishing/trolling for Stripper.

A co-work has been doing well bank fishing at night underneath the I5 bridge lately.

Any body have any fishing tips or reports for this area?

pretty decent current through that area at times - recommend paddling upstream from your launch and coming back down. haven't fished it in years.  i preferred grant line canal in tracy over it.

I was thinking about drifting live bait from Mossdale down river to Dos Reis and have someone pick me up there. I think I may try Tracy Oasis soon because there's a little less current there most of the time. Does anybody know if there is a grass problem up here like there is in Rio Vista? Can't even troll down there.

never had a huge problem there before but you might want to ask some of the bass guys on facebook if you have it.  good stretch of river from mossdale down to dos reis.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't been to Grant line on the Yak, whats do you like better about it?

just a lot less current and easier overall access to me. you can launch at tracy oasis and get to the back of clifton court pretty easy.   there is also one spot there i used to hand launch off the levee which wasn't too bad.

Yea I was thinking the same thing, Mossdale to Dos Reis. Decent stretch to fish and close drive.
