The Promar TR-555 that's pictured above is great. Lightweight, foldable (bring some zip ties to reinforce the corners or crimp the tabs with channel lock pliers for a more snug fit), and they're CA legal out of the box. You can usually find them new for ~$30 each.

Depends on where you go. Gus has them for $25. This is also what I use.

Just purchased 2 traps online from dicks just got to go pick them up from local store. Who knows when I'll be able to go out but need to also get them rigged up. Looking forward to some crabbing and fishing..
