New to the Kayak world

Hi everyone,

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Darren and I've been fishing around the Bay Area my whole life and recently have had the itch to learn and get into the kayak fishing scene. A friend at work suggested I check out this site.  I've been watching you tubers like MooMoo for inspiration and educational purposes... I'm searching for a used pedal kayak to fish salt and fresh waters.

Test pedal a few different kayaks if you can or just but a Hobie depending on your budget.

Welcome! I suggest trying one out first before you completely jump into it. Many start on a non pdl drive first as you can learn a lot. If that drive fails you will need to know those paddle skills anyways. I can sell you a used scrambler XT. You can throw some flush mounts on there and start learning the ropes. Used Scramblerxt 325$. Great in the surf and stable

I'm a huge fan of my not quite kayak, not quite paddle board, Hobie i11s.
I think the stability of a wide paddle board is kinda nice for fighting the fish.

Hope to get more time on the water with it though.
