Can anyone help me with when the halibut fishing typically turns off in the SF bay?  Planning on heading out of paradise park Friday.

Last two years it was around July/August. Not sure about this year. Looks like still some around in the central bay.

Last year, I was getting them up to September in the East Bay.  There are resident fish that you could catch year around.

This season is winding down and the majority are in the central bay, around Alcatraz, and the coast.

Paradise has been pretty quiet lately.  I’d try Crissy, Fort Baker, Fort Point, TI, or San Francisco.

Tomales is only 15minutes farther than Tiburon and there are Hali's there I've heard... :smt006

Fished about 5 hours at paradise.  One keeper, one shaker and one keeper striper.  Think I am done with Halibut for the year!

Way to end on a good note, but I doubt the flattie fishing is finished
