Hi everyone,

My name is Kent and I’m stoked to be a part of this community!

I’ve lived in the SF Bay Area for about 2 years now. Right now living in San Mateo. In that time I grew to love fishing the surf for surf perch and stripers, but the open water was always so enticing to me and I figured it was about time to get a kayak.

I recently became the owner of a new Hobie Outback. I’ve taken it out to pillar point and Lake Del Valle so far and it’s been a blast. It’s pretty barebones so far - trying to take on the accessories slowly since I have a habit of buying things I won’t actually use.

I’ve been lurking around here for a while and you all have been a wealth of information. Excited to meet you all, and hope to see you out on the water!

I sure do! Over the winter my fishing days are pretty much restricted to weekends, I think.

Already looking forward to summer. Will be easier to get in some before/after work outings.
