Friends,

I have an exciting announcement and I need your help to move forward and get it done!
As many of you know, i have a very active blog online for many years now, and i'm taking it to the next level.

TLA kayak fishing book!! (Title to Be Determine)

Yes, I am actively working on writing my first book!! I am excited and anxious at the same time.  This book is labor of my love, and a life long goal.

I am looking for a group of 5-7 dedicated kayak anglers to sit down with me over coffee (date to be determine) to discuss the direction of the book. I have drafted many outlines, and wrote many chapters, but I need a focus group to provide feedback before I move forward.

I will provide each participant a pick of a shirt from the http://shop.thelostanchovy.com/ and coffee. You will also get a chance to review some of my early writings for the book and mold the final product.

Please comment if you are interested. I will follow up with an email with more details if you are invited to join.

Thanks!! -- TLA

Right on, Keith!  I dunno how dedicated of a kayak angler I am (I'm gonna buy a boat someday...), but I'm always happy to offer my .02.   :smt005  Whether I'm selected or not, I wish ya much success with the book.  I could really use a cup of coffee and a clean t-shirt though... you need a CV or anything?

Thanks everyone who responded. I have a lot of work to get done but your feedback will be instrumental to get it going in the right direction.

I will have a professional editor take care of the heavy lifting, and will go over many drafts before it ever reaches the printers. There is still much to learn about getting published but i'm excited to start on the journey. I'm sure there will be many many road blocks ahead and that is to be expected. I'll focus on enjoying the Journey ahead and the company of those who choose to accompany me. -- Please be patient.

My goal is to write a book that is authentic, genuine and honest about our sport. Hopefully others will take from it and move us all forward.

Here are some fun initial excerpts from the book:

The purpose of this book is to pass along my knowledge to you, the reader the passionate anglers so you can go on and discover new and amazing things and move us all forward. The future is built on the shoulders of those that have come before us. I learned from the Titians of Kayak fishing, and built my knowledge off their discoveries long before kayak fishing became a multi million-dollar industry

It is my sincere desire to see a world where the bounties of the ocean are plentiful, preserved, and kayak fisherman are known to be good stewards and protectors of our oceans, seas, lakes, beaches, and rivers.

I want to acknowledge the Norcal Kayak Fishing Association (NCKA). The breathe of this book is an acknowledgement to the tremendous amount of knowledge that is shared from each and every member. Without the generosity of the community there could not be this book or The Lost Anchovy.

I'll get back to those who want to participate soon. Thanks  :smt001 :smt001 --TLA

Sounds like a great idea. Let me know when the meetup is! On a side note I’m hoping for one last salmon of the season before sturgeon season gets going! Hope to see you out there
