I finally have a few minutes to throw a quick post together on my Alaska trip.  In a nutshell, if there is anyway you can make this trip happen, do it!  Monster halibut, big kings & coho's, and more rockfish than you could imagine!  Match that with un-paralleled beauty and 20 hours of daylight, and you have every fisherman's paradise.

I'm putting together a full report, and should have that together and uploaded by tomorrow.  Also, this is my first attempt at posting photos, so we'll see how that goes...

Tight Lines,

Ben

There's nothing but love between us philipino brethren dude.  :smt001 Yup it is a biannual trip me and my friends take. Second time for me. As we put it, all it takes is saving $50.00 a month for 2 years asn next thing ya know, you have enough for the trip. But for the "pool" that is extra!!! :smt003

Next time we'll need more guys so save up.

And yea, you'd love it so much you wouldn't want to come back. So pristine and lots of fishing opportunities. Theresa and I may go back next year to Sitka and try yakin' it out there

even seeing the words Alaska gets me pumped, I am leaving Aug. 18th for 2 weeks of bear Dall Sheep and Mountain Goat hunting. We will be in a drop camp that whole time, I should be pretty ripe when I return from the woods. I two will post a report when I return. Nice flattie.

Skyboy,

Are they dropping you o top of a mountain? I've seen where Dall Sheep and the goats live and it is way up those mountains. I've heard of folks hiking up to get them and it looks like a long hike almost straight up hill. Good luck to you and have great hunt :smt003

So far i'm into day 5 of my report and it's still not done.  Feels like i'm writing a novel, but i'll shorten it up and post on Monday... i'm out the door for a brook trout raid to Mt. Lassen now.  Here's a few more teaser pics until I get the rest of my crap together...by the way, the halibut burgers last night were awesome!

tight lines,
Ben

Joel,

The pictures don't nearly do SE justice. It's about ten times better than it looks in a photo, I kid you not.

Splashdown,

Affirmative on the top O mt. We are flying in on cubs, and setting spike camp at 7,000 ft. and will hunt to about 10,000. This is my first trip, but from looking at the pictures, it won't be my last. The guy I am going with is the link below.
