Wonder if it would tow a yak up the Shelter Cove hill???
Nope they have no low end designed for more top than bottom.

Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

With a mid drive you could do it, sure it would chow battery. Rear hubs arent that torguey, and gearing doesn't help that. MiddRive however, our can still spin the motor at the 70rpm it wants to go and just get down. 30x50 would probably do it

Seems as the introductory pre-sale is over. I think they went up 200 bucks. Search around on the latest YouTube videos and some of them give a code to enter. Not sure if they are offering the bags as a bonus any more. You actually needed to add the bags to your "cart"  and the code will deduct the amount of the bags. Well, That's how Tote and I did it.

Ebikes are fun. It makes you want to go out and ride more. I have a RadRover and I commute 20 miles to work once a week using it.

A few things about the Lectric Bike specs. It is a good deal if you got it for $800. It has a 500W motor, so it's not that much torque. Going uphill will not get much assist. Also, the 10.4ah battery pack will not get you very far. I tested my 750w motor with 14ah battery on a flat course. I was able to get about 26 miles with constant pedaling. So I know their claim of 25-50 miles range is BS. Okay, you can pedal the bike even without power, but it is a work out without power assist. To get 28mph top speed, you pretty much have to pedal hard going down hill. On my 750W motor, I've only seen 27mph going downhill with hard pedaling. On the other hand, I have 1500W ebike that can go 45mph without pedaling and climbs hill like nothing if speed is what I want.

The Lectric caught my interest because of its foldability/space saver while in transit. How much would I use it? Who knows! How much do I use anything that I buy?  :smt005 :smt003

Going uphill will not get much assist.

Sorry, but this is not correct.
It's quite a ways and a bitch of a hill from my place to the mailbox.
I usually hop in the car and drive unless I hit it on the way home from somewhere.
Tried my mtn bike in low low gear and couldn't make it all the way.
With this Lectric XP I can throttle only the entire way if I wanted or I could pedal assist on the least amount of assist and stay seated pedaling and make it there no problem at all.
I've done it both ways and it's a breeze.
Same thing coming into my driveway. It's a steep U turn from the street. No problem with the XP. I couldn't do it on my mtn bike.

Do you think it’d do the hill at The Cove, Mike?

I'm sure the smaller diameter wheels give better torque. I guess it's all relative. We should do an ebike get-together and compare bikes Mike :smt003. I'll bring my 750w and my 1.5-2kw.

I don't see why it wouldn't with pedal assist.
Only one way to find out.  :smt002
I'm sure I'll have it up there sometime now that I'm retired.

That would be cool. I'm more of a hands on person than a number cruncher.

I'm going to get one before the year is over.  I'm looking in the $1500-2000 range.  The Radrover and the Juiced RipCurrent S are at the top of my list.  I'm also looking at Bolton Electric bikes which is in Grass Valley.  The owner builds his own bikes (Bolton), but also Carrie's other brands and works on them as well as Carrie's aftermarket parts too.  He also does some great in depth reviews of the bikes and a guide on how to shop for an e-bike.

The Lectric Bikes come in only 2 colors, black or white. Since I don't believe everything is black and white I decided to do something about it.
This bike is a game changer for Becky and me.
