After browsing through the forum for years, I've joined the madness that is NCKA. Have used my bare bones Ocean Kayak Malibu Two XL to drop crab pots out at Linda Mar for a number of years. Roughly 4-5 times a year. But after recently getting the rockfish bug, through a buddy's Grady White out of Berkeley, wanting to chase them on the kayak.

Went out of HMB last weekend with the ole lady. Kinda chased a couple other guys around, cause I really didn't have a clue where to go. Besides the "the green bell has to be anchored on rocks". Pulled up a couple croakers. Obviously wasn't on the rocks. Had the pleasure of being parked next to P. Sherman. Had a convo about his truck and a few other kayak fishing related things. He suggested I join up and I guess thats all it finally took.

Locally be fishing out of Pacifica and HMB, but would definitely like to go both North and South.

Guess I'm starting to be more open to asking for advice.

Cheers

welcome !  hit me up if you're going out Sunday/Monday I usually go out San Mateo Coast, and Also want to go north and south more often.  Pedro Point is a good spot for some rocks from Rockaway/Linda Mar, I haven't really fished HMB yet though.

Welcome!  You can always jump start your knowledge by setting up an outing with one of the many guides on the boards.   It's probably the quickest way to learn an area.
