Hello all!

Names John and I’m outta Vallejo.

Pretty new to kayak fishing. Picked up a vibe seaghost last july just to dabble with kayak fishing with some friends. Between July of last year and june of this year that kayak was on the water less than a handful of times.

Once my friends and I started fishing for halibut we all decided to swap our paddles for peddles. I ended up getting a second hand hobie compass and never looked back. Since then I’ve been out almost every weekend and have met a few other NCKA members while being out there.

Looking forward to meeting more of you out here and gathering any info I can from you guys!


Took me 3 trips out to get my first salmon on a kayak.
