Really didn’t want to work today so took one of those golden sick days for a little ocean therapy.  Drove up last night and slept in the car, launched at Brighton at 6:45am.

Caught a coho 5 min in and then no action for hours.  Decided to really grind it since I drove up.  Right after the tide change, down rigger goes off and line screams off the reel.  Game on.

25 min long battle, so much fun. Had to cut the motor to net it since it was just so big. Ran several times which was great and he came in on his side tired.  Netted in one go.  FREAKING ECSTATIC.

Fished for another hour then called it.  Got to land with it and didn’t donate it to any furbags this time.  26.98lbs on land on my digital scale.  Gonna call it 27  :smt005

Monkey is off my back now.  Maybe I can sleep for a change now lol.

Nice work! That might have been the one I dropped on Sunday ;-)

But there will be no sleep - you'll be dreaming of that 30 lber that's out there with your name on it.

Cheers,
Brad

Nice work.  Not that many hogs around for the big numbers being caught.  Enjoy it.   :smt001
