Hi looking forward to connecting here and learning. Live in Ashland. Longtime shore angler, seeing the light of kayaks. After catching my first California halibut and lingcod from a jetty recently I'm eager to explore more. Looking to purchase a kayak sometime soon, so far my research points me toward a Hobie outback. Ultimately I hope to meet some of you and maybe find a fishing buddy! I've seen kayak fishermen launch out of crescent City, Brookings, and sunset Bay.......Definitely not going out alone.
Advice welcome!
Thanks for adding me!
Cheers!
James

Hi
Just signed up with N.C.K.A., trying to learn how to navigate & use this site.
I live on the East Coast, in New England, Rhode Island to be precise, been kayak fishing since about 2003 but still have a lot to learn, & that's one of the things I like about it.
It looks like many of our fish species here are different from the West Coast, but a predatory fish is still a predatory fish so I believe most baits, lures, techniques etc. that work there will also work here & vice versa, so I'm excited about being a member of N.C.K.A. & hoping to learn from you guys & increase/improve my catch rate.
Wish we had halibut inshore like you guys, even offshore here it's rare to hear of an Atlantic Halibut being caught anymore.

Hey thanks for the welcome guys

Any folks from my area of Southern Oregon, or folks that fish Crescent City, Brookings, Sunset Bay?
