Pretty slow for everyone, chop picked up with the wind, still nice out there.
Danglin got dinner, I heard Mooch caught a huge jacksmelt. And yes, I threw swimbaits, store-bought jigs and yard-sale tools.

Nice one Ben. I thought it was pretty nasty out there, lots of wind chop and wind swell. The wind was really blowing and no place to get shelter. I trolled from the southend to the north end and back for nada. Jigged for RF for a couple of drifts then called it a morning. We did see pictures of one salmon caught at the pier yesterday and I did hear one radio fish today a little ways off the point. Lots of bait and birds, I have a feeling it is going to turn on soon.

woke up at 4:00 am. ck outside condition and it was very windy :smt013. load up the jeep with yak and fishing gear. wait and see if wind will died down. Wait until 6am, with no change in condition, bail out and stay home.

Good one Ben!  :smt005  Now i considering using my Snap-on wrenches- better finish and more shiny.

Ben way to go.  But what about a drill bit.  it has grooves all the way down and probably spins nicely upon decen't. All joking aside I might try it. Great experiment.

Hey Ben, was this where you were coming from when I saw you on the freeway?  Nice going with the wrench.  I think I am going to try the kitchen sink next.  I was heading back from Capitola.  Went cattle boat fishing with the American Fisheries Society chapter at UC Davis.  We motored all the way to Dux for no salmon and then hit a couple little reefs for some dink rockfish.  I think that will be my last cattle boat trip for a while/
