Monster Ling HMB

Fished Half Moon Bay yesterday from 9 AM until four. Targeting salmon but it was too bumpy and windy to troll. Ended up dragging a large swim bait next to Mavericks and pulled out this 15 pound beast. Approx. 3 feet long. 

I lost another large Ling on a small rockfish same area.  Caught the Halibut outside the harbor jaws.

Congrat on the big Ling... I was there in the Blue Compass and it was kind of windy and I called it quit about 11ish with 1 scratch..

Stomach was empty; I assume it three up something when gaffed but I could be wrong.

36”-ish might fall shy of the Lingzilla designation, I believe that  label is bestowed at the 39” mark according to the GS Hog Trough extension.

And then, there is the 40” club...I’m still working on getting there.

Nice fish! Seems like things are picking up at HMB. I may have to brave the PBs and give it a try soon.

Nice! Looking for a place to go on Monday, haven't tried Mavericks yet . My biggest ling was 10in, gotta take one home soon.
