Thinking of hitting Tomales tomorrow for Halibut. I've never fished there before so it might be more of a learning mission for me. Anybody else planning on hitting Tbay tomorrow ?

I’d like to be on the water by 5. I’ll be on CH69 unless there is too much chatter.

Sounds good, I'll probably be there closer to 6:30. I'll be in a green OK Big Game and I'll be on 69 as well. Hopefully I'll run into you out there.

I should be on the opposite side of Hog @ 6:30. If I find lots of bait, then I’ll get some extras for you.

It might suck but the alternative is worse,  I just got layed off.  Hope the fishing went well.

Some fish were caught, just not by me so I can't oblige with any fish porn. I'll leave it for the catchers to chime in if they desire. One PB had limits for three by noon but it appeared pretty slow otherwise with very few nets flying. Bait was everywhere - huge shoals of anchovies stacked from the bottom to the surface all around Hog Island. Being my first trip there, and first real halibut attempt, I didnt have high expectations but it was a great learning trip.

A big shout out to Archie for being kind enough to share some really helpful tips and intel when we met up back at the launch.Thanks again, Archie !

It was a slow day With a big tide swing. I managed one 30 inch halibut on a live chovy, and bailed by noon.
