I lived in Ca for over 50 years, 40+ in Modesto. I was service manager for C&C Marine in Modesto for 30 years. I am a lifetime member of the Modesto Ambassadors bass club, joined at 2nd meeting in 1971. I served on most board positions 1 or more times. I moved to North Carolina due to work appx 15 years ago, and love it. Much more laid back than Ca. I found this forum and decided it would let me keep in touch with Nor Cal fishing. I moved from the dark side (bass boats) to kayak fishing 3 years ago. I fish mostly big catfish at Buggs Island Lake or Lake Tillery with trips to NC Coastal waters for redfish, flounder, trout and bluefish, both off beaches and on inshore marshes etc. If you are coming to NC shoot me a PM and we can try to make a connection.

Welcome, RD. It'd always fun to hear about fishing on the other side of the continent. Don't know much about NC fishing, but we lived in MD for several years...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
