Anyone interested in fishing off Sea Ranch please contact me.  Our house is close to a good launch site.  My former kayak fishing buddy is no longer available.  I go out on my own sometimes but it's more fun and lot safer to go out with a buddy.  Hope to hear from some of you...

Do you go out during weekends or weekdays?

I have not tried the Sea Ranch area but interest to explore a new area.

Thanks for the replies.  We are part timers at Sea Ranch and are usually there about a week a month.

How does it end up, more during the week or weekends? I’m in the area mostly weekends, but sometimes during the week if the conditions are right.

I am very interested in fishing near Sea Ranch.  I am sending you a PM.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I'm guessing by your screen name you are talking about Shell Beach?  I dove there in a past life (when we could still dive for abalone),  always wanted to try fishing there. You are lucky to have access to such a prime spot on the coast!

Mostly I target rockfish and lingcod but I love sand dabs and sometimes make a point of fishing specifically for them. No limit, all year and yum! I realized there's a lot of them out there when I caught them on big rockfish hooks which told me I'd drifted off the reef.  I've also gone crabbing out of my kayak there with usually good success.  Some guys go for salmon from their kayaks there but I haven't tried it. No telling sometimes what you'll catch out there in 80-100 feet of water (dogfish, starry flounders, etc...).
