Hey NCKA folks - I'm leaning towards picking up an Outback so I wanted to gauge interest in my gently used 2015 Hobie Revolution. Kayak is in excellent shape with minor scrapes on bottom from normal usage. Always stored in my garage on a kayak rack. Comes with Vantage seat, turbo fins, sailing rudder, aluminum tracks (installed), homebrew front hatch liner and paddle. Asking $1,900 with downrigger mount or $1,850 w/o. This setup works great and is super efficient. I've included a video link below showing how it's attached and detached from the kayak quickly.

Post here or private message me with any questions. I'm located up in Chico, CA.

Thanks!
Greg

This is very very tempting. I need to check my funds. Very nice setup!

Yep, that's who I got the inspiration from. He's had a ton of very useful posts on the subject. This is his design, but I instead used rails for mounting instead of mounting below the deck.

Sounds great! Very clean setup and you don't lose any leg room. I am pleased with the overall ease of setup and placement as it's easy to install/uninstall while on the water.

I gotta check how it’s going to work on the 19’ Outback but what kind of material did you use? I have an old cutting board i’m thinking of using.

They often have scraps that you can pick up for cheap—like $2 or so—that will work well for all kinds of kayak gadgets.
