Scott, last time I saw James, he was sitting on your shoulders at the AOTY awards at Aquan. What is your younger son's name?

That's Jonathon.

We really need to start doing NCKA events again. James can't remember it, but he had a great time at Elk the years that the whole family went.

This thread is great! I really hope we get a few of these lil' guys to enter the youth category at Clear Lake. We've got a couple great prizes.

Branson's catfish. Funny story, right after we took the picture James (rider) jumped out of the bushes, grabbed the fish and ran off yelling "AOTY catfish!!". Don't know what that was all about.  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

My little toddler Max.  The reason I haven't fished this year.  The upside is that I've run over 400 miles pushing him in his stroller.  Probably break 500 for the year.  Really need to get a towable baby seat so I can bike around with him instead, give my knees/ankles a break!

Nice looking kid.  So what was your excuse for barely fishing the previous few years before he was born?   :smt003

Will

Loves the water, but we just had him tested again and it still shows he's allergic to most fish  :smt012 May have to glove him up and take him to the trout farm to show him why Daddy likes to go fishin'

Loves NCKA events with its surrogate grandmas like Bunny and Pam  and the other NCKA kids. He keeps asking about Branson and Teyo

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

Kirk, hopefully he grows out of it. Here's Teyo.  That reminds me, I need to go rescue the rod he decided to toss overboard. Lol.

Most of my pictures of my kids have them holding fish :smt001.  If you start them young they will keep fishing with you when they get older.  They just want bigger fish ;-).

1st fish

There has been lots of trout:

1st steelhead:

Biggest in a yak:

Biggest fish to date - they each got one, one was released:

I am a lucky man that I can still get the kids to come out and play.
- 1st place 2010 New Melones Trout Bout
 - Skunked at RBC2 2011
but have always had a great time at every NCKA event I've had the good fortune to attend.

It is really neat, that we have watched some of these kids grow into fine young men and women! Keep the pics coming! (says the guy that does not have a single pic of his kid on this thread!!)
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
