Finally, I will be otw and will get in some much needed fishing therapy both days.  Thinking Folsom or Natomas on one day as they are the closest but I will avoid Rattlesnake bar as I have been there done that and skunked it too many times.  Second day will be either Rollins, Fuller or further up (Donner?).  Anyone else heading to any of these places this weekend?  Or if you have been recently, how was the bite?  (not asking for your secret spots to fish, but if Folsom near Browns Ravine or Rollins is on in the morning, I will give it a go before the boat traffic takes over).  That way I can hit Natomas and Fuller in the afternoon where there is zero powerboat traffic.

and i'll have a report on Monday.  May also try to fly cast from my vibe if conditions allow

I like Donner lake but the PB's can be thick on summer weekends; you'll want to be off the water early. I haven't fished Donnersince spring but can say that all of the fish I've caught have been along the southern shoreline from the inlet on the west end to a little ways east of China cove. I'm always trolling in the kayak and the south shore has a lot less bank fishing so I can more comfortably paddle along the drop off without worrying about people casting at me. I don't have any intel but Prosser is also in Truckee and has a 5 MPH speed limit. Good luck out there!

If you go to Rollins then my preference is the last few hours of the day since that’s usually when everyone gets off the water.

Rollins early, dink fest but lots of fish. Crappie too. Greenhorn access best bet. Watch boaters as they can get stupid by 9am :smt030
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Got out to Folsom this weekend and tried the trees and rocks around Beals Point on Saturday.  Next to zero boat traffic and not boats fishing either.  And no fish landed on my kayak.

On Sunday, my son came home between missions at Travis and since it was later in the morning when we headed out I skipped Rollins and went up to Rucker Lake.  He had my kayak so I banked fished along the campsites.  Sighted multiple small mouths in shallow but none of them were interested.  My son paddled the lake and got some nibbles but no hookups.  Still a good day on the water hanging out with my son.
