Freakin' freezer tripped the breaker in the outlet, I went to grab some fish for a friend and all my Hali and smoked sturgeon and some salmon, bait and stock carcasses room temperature in a puddle of water...all the work and time and processing flashed before my eyes... :smt013 :smt009 :smt010...my beautiful wife says..."You can get some more right?"...I said, "What a babe!" in my heart.  My interpretation of her words say..."Fish your face off dear, I support you in your chaos and I love you so much, just don't put us in the poor house on gear purchases"...he reminds himself...moral of the story...check your freezer and eat fish often, love your wife and bless her...th th th that's all folks... :smt006

That's pretty lousy Eddie. The same thing happened to my garage freezer a few years ago.  That was a big time stinky clean up.

Oh nooooooo!!! So sorry dude. Maybe sushi party time or is it all spoiled? Poke block party?

On a related note the PG&E rolling blackouts have me worried. Need a generator hooked in to a few key circuits. If anyone has this know-how let me know!

I'm no electrician, but I did install my own standby generator with automatic transfer switch. It's been going strong for 10 years, although may need to replace it this winter. Anyways, not a simple job, but do-able with some careful planning...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

The same thing happened to my chest freezer a few years ago. Now i keep 4 one gallon jugs of water in the chest freezer. This way if the power goes out, it'll help keep it cold for a few days.  You can also buy a freezer alarm that goes off at a certain temperature. I do both.

Enjoy restocking! She sounds like a keeper.

Great attitude, turn the negative into a positive. (Little electrical humor there)

Also:

Fertilizer!!!!!   Find a good spot to bury everything and prep for next spring!

And don't forget dry ice.

those "rolling blackouts" are havoc, but PGE will announce before cutting power.  Tripping a breaker at the house is a separate issue.  go get some fish!
