Just a thought... If you were to replace the bottom set of saddles with some simple padding (pipe insulation works) you could easily just lean two kayaks up against the center posts and strap them to it.

Not with the FeelFree kayaks. They are a tad flimsy when out on the sides. Must be laid down...
