Not much free launching there. I suggest Sugar Barge. Nice docks and safe parking. Quick access to the tract.

I concur.  Kayak launch is $5, easy access to a lot of good fishing.

Here's a suggestion which has worked for me in the Delta: Find a marina near where you want to fish that doesn't have a boat ramp. Call them up & ask if you can launch off their docks. All the ones I have asked allow me to launch off their docks. Most charge, some don't - you never know until you ask.

Did you drive your car on to the ramp?  That is when they charge more.  It use to be if you wheeled your kayak instead of driving your car on the ramp they only charge $5.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Sunset harbor was $10 to launch kayak.  I was there last weekend.  Didn't do so well.  caught a couple dinks off the channel on way out to big break.  Current kind of rips through there.  Carried me out on tide, then on the incoming, the wind and tide carried be back in = not much pedaling.   :smt001.  I think next time I'll fish on the other side of the island.
