Just a PSA. Don’t buy this radio. Bought this radio a couple years ago as I was starting out in this sport. Went the cheap route. I think it was $50 at the time. I thought it worked fine but it’s either taken too many swims in the sea or I am challenging it’s range more now or it just sucks, but anyway the range has gotten progressively worse to the point that it’s now unreliable and a liability to have on the water. Not looking for recommendations unless you want to give one - I’ve searched here and as always, a ton of great information from the esteemed NCKA brethren. I’ll pony up the cash this time. It’s kinda freaky being out there realizing that your radio is shit and none of the boats in the far distance can hear you! Don’t skimp on safety!
