I try to work on improving a couple of techniques that are new to me or I don’t have a lot of confidence each season. This year one of them is the wacky rig. Confidence is improving.

That's a chunk !

I like your approach. I fished bass alot as a kid but hadn't put in any serious bass time in the last fifteen years or so. I got back into it a year or so ago, and the more I looked into today's bass lures, the more my mind was blown. Everything looked really unfamiliar. I just didnt have the patience for finesse fishing as a kid but I've slowly been trying to hone my skills lately. Weightless Texas Rigged Senkos/Dingers have been my most recent project.

Thanks for the post.  It seemed in LMB fishing there are a million ways to catch a fish but two most consistent method, especially with warmer water, was a Texas  or wacky rig.  Have you tried the weighted Gamakatsu wacky hook?  It makes the senko travel down the water column a little faster.

texas, wacky, drop shot, ned are just some of the ways to rig plastics for presentations.

Then there is topwater, crankbaits.........all requiring various techniques

Bass fishing can be a sadistic hobby

Tell me about it. I can go bass fishing anytime I want since I have a pond down the street. I also have access to four private ponds that are loaded with some big bass, huge bluegills, and way too many crappie.

With every trip it is like, "one more," one more".... Can't stop and then when I'm done for the day I still want to repeat the next day. Yes bass fishing is addicting and I need help!
