Ouch!  Thanks for reminding us Eric.

Yep. Sunblock was non existent when I grew up. Running around outdoors half naked was dress code in the summer. Shirts and skins on outdoor basketball court. Peels that looked like torn continents came off the body till a full tan took hold. And now? Yearly removal of  tissue. Little chunks of me disappear steadily. Sometimes they get biopsied and then more extensive procedures occur. Wear the stuff. Bathe in it!

It’s actually not too bad.

Just really dumb, and easily avoidable.

Great advice. I’ve only had one removal of tissue, but that was from my nose and it was no fun. Now doing everything possible to avoid any more of that...
I don't like stuff that sucks.

Please, please wear sunblock. Not just fishing but all the time. My father passed from skin cancer this past March.

A couple of my buddies who fish and surf here in Santa Cruz are battling repeated skin cancers right now. On the face.  Not fun and not pretty. Neither guy was very pretty to begin with so you can imagine it's kinda problem.

That’s painful just looking at it...  Sunblock is a must... even on the cloudy days for me.   :smt003
We're gonna need a bigger boat!

RIGHT!!
Amy and I went out on Saturday with Matt-and-a-half for a shortish paddle (became longish) on Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne.  Amy and I both liberally applied sunblock. we both discovered that there were places we either missed with the spray or it was not on thick enough :(

at least the red lobster patches on my upper arms are in the vague shape of lobsters.... and Amy realized that when you sit down in shorts, the sunblock on your thighs gets partly wiped away by the shorts as you scoot into the kayak seat....

What doesnt kill you....

toady might tomorrow?

Matt was hot and miserable in full clothing but did not get any sunburn, choices ;)
Less Mental than before, Still savage AF tho <3
